What you’ll do:
Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist in escorting patients to treatment areas.
Observe patients during treatments and reports orally to the physical therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist.
Prepare the treatment areas for patient care.
Prepare modality treatments as supervised by the physical therapist including electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, iontophoresis, BFRT and other modalities.
Keep treatment areas (tables, equipment, and gym area) clean and disinfected.
Keep machines clean and in working order and report any problems in a timely manner.
Perform deep cleaning of equipment regularly and when necessary.
File exercise flowsheets as necessary.
Assist with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.
Perform supply inventory and unpack/check-in supply orders.
Keep supply closets in order and continually maintain a clean and safe work area.
Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWho you are:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and customer service skills.
Able to follow directions from physical and/or occupational therapist.
Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environment of at least 1 year is preferred.
