Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist - CTRS to join our team. The Recreation Therapist will plan and provide therapeutic recreation programs to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years
• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Completion of supervised fieldwork approved by NCTRC (National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification) or CBRPC (California Board of Recreation and Park Certification).
• Certification or licensure in Recreation Therapy (preferred).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, or behavioral issues is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement therapeutic recreation activities for patients.
• Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate group and individual sessions using sports, arts, crafts, music, and games.
• Monitor, track, and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and treatment teams.
• Encourage positive social interaction and constructive use of leisure time.
