Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in West Orange, NJ. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in home health settings to help them regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role involves working with a diverse patient population across Morris and Essex counties and requires accountability, patience, and clear communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license required.
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in home health, acute, or subacute settings.
  • BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Ability to evaluate and treat home health patients and document to meet productivity expectations (30 points).
  • Must be able to travel within assigned coverage areas and reimbursements will be provided for mileage between visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically in homecare preferred.
  • Demonstrated accountability, strong communication skills, and patience preferred.
  • Familiarity with productivity expectations and agency documentation preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 08001600 as listed; schedule noted as MF 08001630 in client order notes.
  • Weekly guarantee: 40 hours.
  • Coverage areas include Morris and Essex counties.
  • One weekend per month may be required when possible.
  • Mileage reimbursed between first and last patient visits.
  • Resource type: Independent Contractor supporting Care Services, Clinical.
