Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with lymphedema treatment experience to join our home health team serving patients throughout the Treasure Coast. In this role, you will provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, manage swelling conditions, and regain independence in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide hands-on therapy interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional performance.
Assist with lymphedema treatments, including compression therapy, bandaging, therapeutic exercises, and patient education as directed by the PT.
Observe and report patient responses to treatment and progress toward goals.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Communicate effectively with supervising PT and interdisciplinary care team.
Follow all agency policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
QualificationsQualifications
Current Florida PTA license in good standing.
Experience treating patients with lymphedema required.
Minimum 1 year of clinical PTA experience (home health preferred).
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a field setting.
