What You'll Do: As an Occupational Therapist in our long-term care facility, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, designing and fabricating splints based on physicians' prescriptions, and supervising support staff such as assistants and aides. Your day will involve maintaining accurate patient records, using therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance residents' strength, mobility, and fine motor skills, and tracking progress to ensure optimal outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the residents' functional improvement and overall well-being. Required Skills: Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri or eligible for licensure Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and activities for adult populations Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities Ability to supervise and collaborate with support staff Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to design and execute customized treatment programs Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities Proficiency in designing and fabricating splints and orthotic devices Familiarity with healthcare software and electronic medical records Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Prior experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting is highly valued Certification in splint fabrication is a plus Other Requirements: Ability to work weekdays during daytime hours Commitment to maintaining compliance with all state, federal, and local laws Any applicable travel reimbursements, licensure, and certification expenses will be covered Take the next step in your occupational therapy career with us!
