Compensation: Based on Experience
DEFINITION: Responsible for assisting with physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments only under the direct supervision of the Staff Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist. The Therapy Aide, as directed and supervised by the Staff Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist, assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Therapy Aide participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in PI activities. Performs clerical duties as assigned by Management or Staff Therapists, and participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training and organizational safety and fire safety programs. Patients cared for/interacted with are infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
GED or completion of high school
