SUMMARY

Provides medically prescribed physical therapy trement for pients suffering from injuries, deconditioning, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to sisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:

  • Evalues program participants through approprie evaluion procedures and develops written trement programs for each participant.
  • Administers approprie trement programs and communices program participant needs to approprie staff. Provides needed re-evaluion and programmic changes as necessary.
  • Maintains timely and approprie program participant/administrive and department documention.
  • Ensures adherence to accredition standards, licensure standards, professional code of ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Attends programmic meetings on request for team reports, policy setting, exchange of informion, etc.; tends other approprie meetings/conferences as needed.
  • Attends clinical meetings to exchange, discuss, and evalue program participant trement programs.
  • Serves on rehabilition trement team(s). Communices with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of physical therapy program.
  • Plans and implements in-service programs for staff and other groups as requested/assigned by supervisor.
  • Participes in oriention programs for new staff, program participants, and PT/PTA students.
  • Writes service summaries as requested by case manager/program director and maintains daily billing summaries and turns them into the approprie staff.
  • Performs other reled duties and activities as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Disciplines specific supervision of PTAs and Interns as required.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job

The requirements listed below are representive of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job:

Educion and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • One years experience preferred

Certifices, Licenses, and Registrions:

  • Ste licensure in physical therapy.
