What you will do: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the completion of professional activities that include assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring speech treatment, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (children and adults). Responsibilities: Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Utilize your expertise to diagnose a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create and implement personalized, evidence-based therapy plans that cater to each client's unique needs. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, psychologists, educators, and other professionals to provide holistic and integrated care. Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure meticulous and up-to-date client records, adhering to all regulatory standards. Engage in Continuous Learning: Stay ahead in your field by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Educate and Empower Clients: Provide clients and their families with effective strategies to support communication and swallowing functions, enhancing their quality of life. Every single member of the Bayshore Team across Canada operates with these fundamental values in mind Qualifications : What you bring: Master's Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists required. Three (3) years' experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services preferred Experience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writing Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills Demonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email. Valid Class G or G2 driver's license and willingness to travel within the Greater Hamilton and Burlington communities Pediatric experience an asset Bayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.
