Currently, you'll begin by working one-on-one with a dedicated elementary school student, fostering their language development and confidence. Key Qualifications: Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or ASL instruction Experience teaching American Sign Language at the elementary level is highly preferred Strong communication skills, including fluency in ASL Ability to tailor lessons and strategies to individual student needs Dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Main Responsibilities: Deliver engaging ASL instruction to a single elementary student in alignment with educational best practices Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that support the student's language acquisition and academic growth Collaborate with school staff and families to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods as needed Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP or student support meetings As the program grows, additional students may be added, providing the opportunity to increase your hours and impact.
