General Summary
Providesprehensive clinical audiology services in a university-based, interdisciplinary clinical setting. Delivers direct patient care and contributes to clinical supervision, which may include supervising graduate students as appropriate. Supports high-quality, ethical practice while collaborating with clinical and academic partners.
Major Duties
Providesprehensive audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
Performs diagnostic testing including audiometry, immittance measures, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
Applies evidence-informed practices to select, program, verify, and manage hearing aids and assistive listening devices and prepares related purchase agreements.
Conducts cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
Collaborates with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, performs cochlear implant activation, and provides ongoing follow-up care.
Maintains accurate, timely, andpliant clinical documentation.
Provides occasional supervision and support to graduate-level speech-language pathology students within the clinical setting.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Three years' relevant experience.
Experience with Audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
Experience with hearing aid selections, fittings, verification, and management.
Experience with Cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
Demonstrated ability to accurately and ethically document patient encounters inpliance with state and local laws.
Fully licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Michigan.
