Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Fort Myers, FL. Work hands-on in dynamic school environments and impact the lives of K-12 learners while furthering your speech therapy career. Multiple elementary and middle school campuses are available, offering a mix of age groups and diverse caseloads. This on-site, in-person position starts August 2026 and runs through the end of May 2027.
In this role, you can expect a flexible, part-time schedule ranging from 7.5 to 22.5 hours per week, with the possibility of moving into a full-time roleup to 37.5 hours per weekshould additional supervision become available. Your caseload will include approximately 50-55 students across a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work across multiple campus locations as needed
- Completion of all required credentialing (fingerprinting and background checks); prior fingerprints in the AHCA Clearinghouse may be transferable
- Commitment to on-site service delivery
What youll do:
- Provide direct support to Speech Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans
- Deliver individualized and group speech interventions for students Pre-K through Middle School
- Track student progress and document sessions in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to further student success across educational environments
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings as needed
