Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) 2026-2027 School Year
Mead and Prendergast Elementary Schools (PreK-5th)
Ansonia Public Schools is seeking an SLPA at each elementary school to assist speech language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. An SLPA will implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists including monitoring the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
Qualities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:
- Passion for working with students in a school environment.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate and interact with a multidisciplinary school team and families.
- Ability to collect and report student data.
- Ability to maintain records and documentation of the IEP implementation of goals and objectives tied to service delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Completion of an SLPA certificate.
- Previous experience as an SLPA preferred.
Position is 29.5 hours per week without benefits
