Our dynamic rehabilitation team consists of PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs who work collaboratively to provide innovative patient care in our 500 bed acute care hospital. Our patient population includes, but is not limited to, neurologic, cardiac, critical care, general medical, general surgical, pulmonary, and oncology diagnoses.
The ideal candidate has acute care experience and adopts and demonstrates our system's core values of accountability, compassion, collaboration, integrity, respect, and stewardship. Experience in VFSS and/or FEES is desired. After hire, training in VFSS and FEES is required. We are looking for highly qualified and motivated therapists to join our team in providing excellent patient care that aligns with our mission and vision.
Weekends and holidays are required in this position.
Position Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and understands treatment plan and procedure modifications. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for documentation of patient treatments, patient charges, and other information as needed. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is also responsible for the supervision of ancillary staff. He/she participates in community presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager or director.
