Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Plano, TX

Step into a vital support role assisting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a dynamic educational environment near Plano, TX. This full-time contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, working on-site (no virtual options) with a dedicated team committed to making a difference. The assignment involves 37.5 hours per week, focusing on therapy services within a regional program designed specifically for DHH studentsfrom early elementary through high school.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Texas SLP license required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHHT certification needed
• Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric SLP roles preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially within collaborative therapy models

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in the DHH program
• Collaborate with two other SLPs to manage a caseload of approximately 130 students, focusing on therapy delivery
• Participate in planning and implementation of student-specific goals
• Contribute to comprehensive educational and therapeutic support, adjusting strategies for each students needs
• Complete necessary documentation and progress reporting in a timely manner
• Engage actively with families, educators, and other specialists to maximize student outcomes

Special Notes:

• Fingerprinting clearance through the Texas Education Agency is required prior to starting; plan accordingly for processing time if not recently completed in another public school district.
