Job Description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Ashland, KY, providing home health care to patients recovering from injuries and managing chronic conditions. You will perform evaluations and treatments based on physician orders, develop measurable goals, and implement treatment plans to maximize patient independence. Maintain documentation and compliance with company, state, and federal regulations. Communicate patient needs and progress to the care team, physicians, and families. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides as permitted by state practice act. Participate in staff development and obtain required continuing education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Kentucky Physical Therapist license or compact licensure accepted prior to start of assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of home health physical therapy experience required.
- Experience with OASIS documentation and home care electronic health record systems.
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
- Ability to travel within county coverage area including Boyd, Greenup, Lawrence, Carter, and Elliott counties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising PT assistants and aides in home health settings.
- Experience securing and training patients on adaptive equipment in the home environment.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern.
- Work setting: Onsite home health within local county coverage.
- Mileage reimbursement provided at 0.49 per mile.
