Director of Rehabilitation Services (PT)

The Director of Rehabilition Services directs the three rehab departments of physical, occupional, and speech therapy to ensure the highest quality of rehab services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulions, and Life Care standards.

• Active license in physical (BSPT, MSPT, DPT, or PTA), occupional (BSOT, MSOT, COTA), or speech (MA, MS, CCC SLP, or CFY SLP) therapy and meet the educional requirements as defined in the job description for th license type
• Currently registered/licensed with applicable Ste. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience in post acute care or reled setting
• CPR certificion upon hire or obtain during oriention. CPR certificion must remain current during employment.

• Liaisons with pients, families, support departments, etc. to adequely plan for pient needs
• Functional knowledge of payer reimbursement
• Functional knowledge of labor management and stregies
• Functional knowledge of supply budgets
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
• Exercise good body mechanics all times
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulions, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: pient rights, and safety and sanition
• Maintains professional working relionships with all associes, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informion
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Cares Code of Conduct and completes mandory Code of Conduct and other approprie compliance training

• Recruit, select, hire, evalue, train, counsel, and supervise Rehab department staff
• Oversee and evalue care given by therapy students
• Direct the growth, development, and maintenance of rehab programs
• Function as staff therapist as caseload requires
• Maintain approprie staffing pterns as clinically indiced
• Utilize therapy software appropriely and accurely
• Effectively manage department budget
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive titude towards pients
• Assist in the evacuion of pients
• Demonstre dependable, regular tendance
• Concentre and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communice and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
