Recreation Aide
As the next Recreation Aide for the City of Twin Falls, you will play an important role in supporting recreation programs, youth activities, enrichment programs, and adult sports that promote community health, fitness, and connection. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting community events, and helping create positive recreation experiences for participants of all ages.
In this important role, you will assist with the coordination, setup, supervision, and delivery of recreation programs throughout the community. You will provide customer service to participants, help prepare fields and facilities, support program registration and park reservations, and assist Recreation Coordinators with the daily needs of recreation programming.
Description
As the Recreation Aide, you will:
- Serve as an on-site coordinator for recreation programs
- Assist with youth and adult recreation programs, sports leagues, and enrichment activities
- Provide customer service to program participants, parents, coaches, and community members
- Answer questions and respond to citizen comments in a courteous and timely manner
- Assist with program registration, park reservations, phone calls, and payment processing
- Perform scorekeeping and assist with game-day or program operations
- Organize, distribute, and track youth sports equipment
- Assist with recruiting and coordinating volunteer youth sports coaches
- Support Recreation Coordinators with program development and implementation
- Help oversee recreation staff during assigned programs or activities
- Keep supervisors informed of work progress, concerns, and potential program needs
- Participate in an on-call rotation as assigned
- Perform related duties as required
Pay & Benefits
- $19.17 - $23.02 per hour ($39,874 - $47,884), depending on the experience
- Full-time, non-exempt position

- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and positive recreation environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in the recreation field with some supervisory experience preferred
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the work
- Valid State of Idaho Class D Driver's License
- Ability to successfully pass required pre-employment screening
Work Environment
This position works in both office and outdoor recreation environments. Duties may include assisting customers at the front desk, working with registration systems, preparing fields, distributing equipment, and supervising recreation programs at parks, fields, facilities, or other program locations. Work may involve exposure to changing weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods, working on rough terrain, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
