In this role, you will work closely with a kindergarten student entering school in fall 2026 who has a cochlear implant in one ear and typical hearing in the other. Your expertise will be vital in assessing their unique needs and recommending the appropriate type and amount of support services. Collaboration with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams ensures the best possible outcomes for this young learner. Key Qualifications: Licensed Audiologist with up-to-date credentials Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred Comfort evaluating students with hearing devices (such as cochlear implants) Ability to collaborate with teachers of the deaf and related professionals Strong communication and report-writing skills Dedication to supporting diverse student needs with evidence-based practice Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for students, beginning with the identified kindergarten student in fall 2026 Partner with educational staff and teachers of the deaf to interpret results and develop recommendations Create detailed reports outlining recommended support and services Provide guidance to teachers and staff regarding classroom accommodations and assistive technology Stay informed on best practices and advances in audiological care for children This position allows you to use your expertise to make a tangible difference.
