Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Make a meaningful difference supporting pediatric learners as a contract-to-hire Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year! Based near Tacoma, WA, this full-time opportunity offers a chance to provide direct speech therapy and language intervention for a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students at Tehaleh Heights Elementary School. The assignment runs from September through mid-June, with a 35-hour workweek to foster work-life balance. Collaborate closely with school staff and families to help children boost communication and reach their academic and social milestones. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Current or pending Washington State SLP licensure required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Experience delivering pediatric speech-language therapy in a school or healthcare setting Knowledgeable in assessments, IEP development, and implementing therapy for students with mild to complex speech/language needs Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Comfortable working independently; SLPAs are not assigned to this caseload Responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary-age students Complete comprehensive evaluations and participate in the IEP process Develop engaging therapy plans based on individualized student needs Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress notes, and required reports Partner with teachers, school staff, and families to support student outcomes Attend meetings and multidisciplinary team sessions as needed This contract-to-hire school-based SLP role presents an excellent path to develop your expertise in pediatric, educational, and healthcare speech therapy practice.
