This contract role, beginning August 24, 2026 and extending through June 10, 2027 (including ESY dates), is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, supporting young learners from ages 3 to 18 with a range of mild to moderate needs. Position is conveniently located near Smithville, MO, and includes work at three local sites. This is a part-time opening, structured for 2 days per week at 7.5 hours daily for SLPs, or 3 days per week for SLPAs (to ensure appropriate supervision). Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student success Complete required documentation and progress monitoring Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning Support inclusive practices across school settings Qualifications: Current certification as Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY) or eligibility as Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Experience in K-12 or pediatric healthcare environments Proficiency in teletherapy platforms is a plus Strong communication and organizational abilities Compassion for children and a collaborative mindset Benefits of joining this school-based team include a flexible part-time schedule and competitive pay, with rates of $40-$52 per hour depending on experience.
