A full-time SLP with fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is sought to serve the regional day school program for the deaf, assisting a talented team dedicated to empowering students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). The contract runs from August 11, 2026 through May 28, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact. In this therapy-centered position, you'll collaborate closely with experienced peers. With three therapists managing a caseload of approximately 130 DHH students, you'll focus primarily on direct therapy, while other colleagues handle the majority of evaluations. Your expertise and skills will support the growth, communication, and academic success of students from a variety of backgrounds and age groups within the DHH program. Desired Qualifications: Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Fluency in ASL or DHHT certification required School-based SLP experience, especially supporting students in DHH programs, preferred Strong teamwork and organizational skills Passion for inclusive, student-centered care Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in the DHH program Collaborate with multidisciplinary therapists, teachers, and staff Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered goals Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district and state guidelines Candidates must complete fingerprinting through the TEA unless recently cleared for another Texas school district, as start dates are dependent upon clearance.
