Your Role as a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) , you will provide skilled therapy services in patients homes under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your care will help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities safely.

Responsibilities include:

Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist

Assist patients with improving activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility

Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safety strategies

Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Document visits efficiently using AI-assisted EMR tools

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

Active, unencumbered Florida COTA license

Valid driver s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

CPR certification

Home health experience preferred but not required
