Key Responsibilities

* - Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities.

* - Provide direct support in developing social and daily living skills.

* - Collect and assess patient information.

* - Instruct patients and families in treatment techniques.

* - Monitor performance and provide encouragement.

* - Document patient progress.

* - Maintain treatment records.

* - Perform clerical tasks.

Certifications/Requirements

* - Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification from NBCOT required.

* - COTA-L (Licensed) in states requiring licensure.

* - BLS/CPR certification.

* - High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

* - Associate degree from ACOTE-accredited OTA program required.

* - Level I and Level II Fieldwork components (minimum 24 weeks total).

* - No prior experience required for entry-level.
