Physical Therapy Assistant Job in Alameda, California

Ref #: C-PTA-9125543 We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join a team in Alameda, CA for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows a Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, and offers competitive pay (Travel: $1,548/36-hours; Local: $1,526/36-hours). What you'll be doing: Work closely with the Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, collect medical histories, and help set functional goals. Deliver prescribed interventions and exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility. Operate therapeutic equipment and apply modalities safely and effectively. Teach patients proper techniques and home exercise routines to support their recovery. Document treatments and progress accurately in patient records. Coordinate with the PT and the broader healthcare team to ensure cohesive care plans. Follow safety and infection-control practices to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment. Provide encouragement and emotional support as patients work toward their goals. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
