We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to patients in a collaborative healthcare environment while building strong relationships with patients, families, and facility staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive abilities while delivering patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.
Pay : $50.83 per hour. PRN as needed position.
Patient Care & Therapy Services
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Perform screenings and assessments for appropriate patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient progress and accurately document outcomes
Communicate patient needs and progress with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
Provide education and support to patients and caregivers
Collaboration & Facility Engagement
Build positive working relationships with facility staff and healthcare professionals
Participate in care planning meetings, family conferences, utilization reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and other rehabilitation professionals
Help develop and implement innovative therapy programs and techniques
Educate staff and community members about speech therapy services
Professional Excellence
Maintain compliance with facility policies, patient rights, infection control, and safety procedures
Stay current with industry trends, clinical best practices, and continuing education
Maintain active state licensure and professional certifications
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education/Experience : Hold a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (may be dually certified in audiology). Hold a valid state license.
Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills :
Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.
Note : An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.
Necessary Special Requirements : Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to a two-step PPD test.
Licenses or Certificates : If driving, a valid driver's license and ability to be insured as a facility driver
Unusual Demands : Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions.
