A leading school near Santa Monica, CA is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, onsite contract position for the upcoming school year. You'll provide hands-on support to an elementary caseload, working closely with students, educators, and families to promote independence and academic success. In this role, you will work Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 3:30PM, aligning with the school day and ensuring a consistent presence for your students. This opportunity begins August 13, 2026, and continues through June 9, 2027, giving you the chance to foster lasting therapeutic relationships throughout the academic year. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California required Previous experience in a school-based setting is a must Comfort working with elementary-aged students Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet varied student needs Commitment to working onsite Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Document progress and maintain accurate records Assist in IEP meetings as needed Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills crucial for classroom participation During the interview process, you'll connect via Zoom for a streamlined experience.
