Make a meaningful difference for students by providing speech-language services in an educational setting near Indianapolis, IN. This onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to use your clinical expertise to support a diverse student population, with a strong focus on conducting speech-language evaluations and collaborating closely with other SLP professionals.
As part of this role, youll provide essential services for approximately 5070 students, working primarily on evaluations to identify and address a wide range of communication needs. Youll collaborate closely with a fellow SLP who supports nonverbal life skills students, fostering a team approach to comprehensive care.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (Indiana)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and adapt to varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for a diverse caseload
- Develop and implement appropriate interventions, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Partner with SLP staff, particularly in the support of nonverbal and life skills students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to student teams
