A contract opportunity is available for licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy to support virtual school-based services in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This role requires delivering remote speech-language pathology services to a diverse student population across elementary to middle school levels within the Eastern Standard Time zone. The assignment runs from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering 35 full-time hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide teletherapy and telespeech interventions to students in virtual school settings.
- Manage caseloads varying by age group, with typical ranges from 40 students at the elementary level to up to 57 students during peak periods.
- Collaborate with supervisors to tailor caseloads based on professional experience and geographic location.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all credentialing and reporting requirements.
- Support student communication development using evidence-based virtual methods.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Valid and active Maryland SLP licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years post-COVID virtual school-based SLP experience, with at least 2 of those years within the last 5 years.
- Proficiency in telepractice platforms and remote assessment techniques.
- Ability to work full-time hours within the EST zone.
- Complete required credentialing including background checks and license verification.
