Full-Time-Speech Language Pathologist for Head Start (school-based) Program in Schenectady
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, a state of the art acute rehabilitation hospital located in Schenectady, NY and a member of St. Peters Health Partners, is seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist with pediatric experience to work with preschool students enrolled in the Head Start Program a school-based program.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
Responsibilities:
Travel within the Schenectady area to treat children in a school setting.
Deliver a comprehensive treatment program
Identify and refer students for related services (audiology, medical, etc. as appropriate).
Participates in the students annual review process
Assess a students needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate educational and treatment recommendations.
Completes all documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
Participates as part of an interdisciplinary team that works closely with parents and teaching staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Masters degree
Completion of Clinical Fellowship preferred. Might consider a CF whose had strong school-based peds placements
Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association
Experience with pediatric patients is a must
Flexibility, exceptional clinical reasoning skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Pay Range :$37.60 - $47.60
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
