Job Description
Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Silver Spring, MD. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role offers the opportunity to deliver hands-on care in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting while experiencing a new community.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment preferred.
- Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric populations.
- Client-specific requirement: ability and willingness to float to other nearby centers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with mobility training, ADL/IADL retraining, and documentation in electronic health records preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800-1630.
- Work days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Meal break: 30 minutes.
- Floating required to other local centers as needed.
