Were hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Portland, ME where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience in tertiary/teaching hospital or level 1 trauma center preferred as client requirement.
- Experience across adult acute and critical care required. Experience with NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and Emergency Department patients required to float as needed.
- BLS required. ACLS preferred. NRP required for NICU assignments.
- Familiarity with ventilators and respiratory equipment listed: Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm.
- Experience using EPIC EMR preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cardiothoracic, NICU/PICU settings preferred.
- Flexible, team-oriented communication style preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 1900-0700.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Weekend requirement: 36/48 as assigned.
- On-call requirement: yes. 2 hours for the oncoming shift.
- Float requirements: must be willing to float across pediatric (NICU/PICU), ED, and adult acute and critical care areas.
