Position Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support relating to department activities. Performs diverse duties to provide support to physical medicine staff / department functions and systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Trained to assist in rehabilitation therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a PT/PTA, OTR/COTA, and/or SLP.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Skillfully performs treatments as assigned under appropriate direction
Transports patients from rooms and other areas
Responsible for inventory and supply orders
Completes data entry of billing in a timely manner
Covers reception/clerical positions per department needs.
Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with other health care professionals and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Uphold professional standards and responsibilities by achieving service competence and supporting evidence-based interventions to promote quality in practice.
Includes Saturday and Sunday rotation work as applicable.
Required Qualifications :
Education and Training :
High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Transports patients from rooms and other areas.
Provides clerical support to department.
Previous tech experience preferred.
