Were hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Glens Falls, NY. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes cardiopulmonary evaluation, life support, and patient, family, and public education. You will provide respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient areas following established protocols or physician orders. Epic experience is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- NBRC RRT credential required.
- Current New York state respiratory license required. Temporary New York Health Care Service Agency license/registration must be provided with submission as required by NY State for temporary staffing.
- Minimum one year experience as an RRT. Critical care proficiency required.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required.
- Labor & delivery / neonatal resuscitation experience required.
- Epic electronic health record experience required.
- Profile and compliance requirements: work history, skills checklist (current within 1 year), one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years, permanent address in profile matching government ID, and ability to complete the facility 14-panel drug screen within required timeframe.
- Travel candidate restrictions: candidates with permanent addresses in the following New York counties will not be considered: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital setting and with critically ill patients.
- Previous travel or contract respiratory therapy experience.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., 36 hours per week.
- Weekend requirements: TBD.
- Must be able to float to other facility locations if required by the client.
- Candidate must be able to complete required onboarding training (Welle or CPI verbal de-escalation/CPI) as specified by the facility.
