Occupational Therapist in Sylva, NC

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Prior experience in hospital and/or rehabilitation settings is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of therapy assessment, planning, and implementation within acute and elder care populations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary care team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver evidence-based OT interventions in both acute and long-term care units
• Evaluate progress, document outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and self-management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Support a safe and comfortable environment for all patients
