School-Based Physical Therapist - Jersey City, New Jersey

Embark on an impactful school-based contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist working across multiple K-12 settings near Jersey City, NJ. This full-time position runs from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027, offering the chance to collaborate with educators and support the growth and development of students in a dynamic, district-wide role. With consistent weekday hours from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, you'll make a meaningful contribution to student outcomes throughout the academic year.

Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey Physical Therapy license and be ready to meet all state and district credentialing requirements, including a recent TB test, physical, and fingerprinting for both the placement agency and the district itself. This vital role invites you to work with a range of age groups and physical therapy needs, engaging in both assessment and treatment within supportive school environments.

Desired qualifications and experience include:

• Hold an active NJ Physical Therapist license
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Ability to serve students in both individual and group formats
• Superb communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fulfilling NJ onboarding steps (TB screening, physical examination, fingerprinting)
• Comfortable participating in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services across multiple schools within the district (K-12)
• Assess students' needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and track outcomes
• Document student progress in accordance with district policies and state law
• Partner with teachers, families, and other therapists to support holistic student growth
