Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties include:

  • Ensures the Physical Therapist has the supplies, equipment, and support needed to deliver therapy to patients who need to improve their mobility, build muscle and joint strength, recover function, and manage pain.
  • Prepares treatment areas prior to appointments.
  • Maintains physical therapy equipment by following safety and infection control protocols
  • Welcomes patients and escorts them to treatment rooms.
  • Assists patients with basic mobility, transfers, or positioning during exercises as directed by the
    Therapist or assistant.
  • Maintains clinic inventory, supplies, and equipment. Reports shortages and equipment
    malfunctions.
  • Performs clerical duties, including scheduling, checking in patients, and documenting encounters in
    the EMR.
  • Application of therapeutic modalities under the guidance of a licensed clinician after adequate on-the-job training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $19.61 - $26.53 per hour.

Workdays: This role will be primarily located in The Oregon Clinic Creekside Pavilion in Southwest Beaverton. Occasional coverage will be required on an as-needed basis at the Physical Therapy East Clinic located in Northeast Portland, where initial training may also be conducted. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (Work hours may be 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm OR 8:30 am -5:00 or 5:30 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience working as a Physical Therapy Aide is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare physical therapy and/or hands-on patient care, such as LMT, CNA, MA, aide, or athletic training, is a strong plus. Candidates who plan to pursue admission to a Physical Therapy school are encouraged to apply!
  • Strong interest in physical therapy, massage therapy, or athletic training is a plus!
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. EPIC experience is a plus!
  • Excellent ability to interact with patients and clinicians while also effectively completing daily tasks independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
