Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Honakaa, HI, providing inpatient and long-term care therapy services across hospital and skilled nursing settings. Under general supervision, perform diagnostic assessments, prepare and implement treatment plans, and provide rehabilitation and habilitation services to adult patients. Services may include inpatient, SNF, and outpatient duties. Be available to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations. EMR used: Meditech.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Hawaii state physical therapy license required by assignment start. Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer.
- Minimum 6 months' work experience treating adults in at least one of the following settings: inpatient, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or outpatient. (Minimum experience in relevant adult settings required.)
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing therapy in both SNF/inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with a broad range of rehabilitation procedures and equipment used in acute and long-term care.
Assignment Details
- Variable departmental coverage across 7 days per week with a 5 day work week and possible one weekend day schedule (examples: Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat).
- Primarily SNF/inpatient with some outpatient duties.
- Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.
