Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Virginia Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Minimum 6 months of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Experience performing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, goal writing, and documentation compliant with state and payer regulations.
- Experience with functional treatment programs, patient and family education, and supervision of students or support staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient clinic workflows including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
- Experience with safe patient handling and infection control practices.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 9:30 AM7:00 PM; Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 AM4:30 PM; Friday 7:30 AM3:00 PM.
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks.

Impacting Patient Care
Evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and modify plans based on clinical progress and physician direction. Complete timely, accurate documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicators, and letters of medical necessity in compliance with clinic and regulatory requirements. Participate in student education as assigned. Maintain professional licensure and meet state continuing education requirements. Follow organizational safety practices and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
