Overview

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments to guests while maintaining a high level of customer service. This position promotes relaxation, stress relief, and overall wellness by delivering customized massage services in a safe and comfortable environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of massage and body treatments to guests based on their individual needs and preferences

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment

• Consult with guests to determine appropriate treatments and identify any contraindications

• Promote spa services, wellness programs, and retail products when appropriate

• Ensure all equipment, linens, and treatment rooms are properly sanitized and stocked

• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Maintain accurate guest treatment records and confidentiality

• Deliver exceptional guest service and create a relaxing spa experience

• Attend required trainings and team meetings

• Assist with additional spa or wellness duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Current Massage Therapy license/certification required according to state regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of two years' experience in esthetics.

• Knowledge of various massage techniques and wellness practices

• Willing to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.

• Customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists, and sales staff.

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push carts up to 50lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to stand and move throughout spa and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
