We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Physical Therapist to join our fast-paced outpatient clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys working with a diverse patient population in a collaborative and supportive environment. We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to work M-F, 40 hours per week. Will also consider 32 hours per week.
Our outpatient clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. We pride ourselves on delivering personalized treatment plans while maintaining a positive and energetic workplace culture.

Summary

Responsible for utilizing advanced education and training to provide individualized treatment for client/patient/resident. Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs that help clients/patients/resident recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.

Job Description

Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions on clients/patients/residents who are affected by injury or disease. Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards. Documents client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation; establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary. Educates clients/patients/resident's and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of client/patient/resident. Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/resident. Responsible for maintaining and furthering personal education and training to continue to be viewed as an expert in their field. May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders. Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. Demonstrates level of treatment associated with their specialty provided to their clients/patients/residents. Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.Exhibits flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments. Participates in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health. Will be interacting with individuals outside of the department including but not limited to: providers, case managers, third party payers, public organizations, companies/contractual partners, etc. May be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. Will be expected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership. Performs other related duties as requested by manager, including mentoring of new staff. Will meet criteria for Senior Physical Therapist designation on annual basis. Ensures all physical therapy related standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements are met. Based on facility and location assigned, work may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health care environments.

Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.

Must have a minimum of two years of Physical Therapy experience or have graduated from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) residency program and have passed the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board exam to obtain the board certified designation of specialty practice.

Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist. When applicable, may require valid driver's license. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
