Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreation programs and services to meet participant needs for social, physical, and cognitive functioning.Essential Functions

Performs appropriate initial recreational therapy assessments and re-assessments upon referral from Interdisciplinary Team. Communicates participant changes to team members.
Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care to include recreational and social activities.
Documents accordingly in the participant's medical record.
Develops, implements and supervises the activity program.
Serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field of study.
Experience - One (1) year of experience in an environment with a frail or elderly population
