Position Description
Were currently seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care team at Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT.

Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) independently evaluates patients level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patients safety and independence.

This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of speech therapy to maximize the patient's functional independence.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current State of CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech Therapist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Modified Barium Swallow study experience or FEES experience preferred but not required

  • Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.
