Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Murphy, NC. This opportunity is for an experienced clinician to provide occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on helping patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living and instrumental activities while working with an interdisciplinary team to support safe discharge planning and functional independence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience providing occupational therapy in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Documentation and electronic medical record experience required. Specify systems during interview if needed.
  • Ability to perform thorough assessments, write measurable treatment plans, and provide skilled interventions for activities of daily living, wheelchair seating/positioning, splinting, and adaptive equipment recommendations preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel therapy or contract experience preferred.
  • Experience with discharge planning and working closely with nursing and therapy assistants preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) or certified in functional cognitive assessments preferred.
