We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Northport, AL. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain skills needed for daily living through therapeutic activities and interventions. New graduates are welcome. Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Alabama required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Ability to implement individualized therapy plans and document patient progress under OT supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and progressive treatment interventions in a skilled nursing environment.
  • Prior travel clinician experience preferred but not required.

Assignment Details

  • 8-hour day shifts.
  • Float to other facilities is not required.
