Senior Medical Equipment Rehab Technician
Brief Description:
The Senior Rehab Technician plays a crucial role in completing Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) equipment assemblies and deliveries, with a focus on fittings and modifications as required. This role is instrumental in maintaining client and referral satisfaction by ensuring that functional goals and outcomes are met. Additionally, the Rehab Tech provides essential support to the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP).
The Technician will also be required to act in an account management role for local skilled nursing facilities to set up inservice opportunities, conduct monthly marketing functions for all assigned facilities and include feedback reporting to ATP weekly. Tech will need to follow up with ATP for such opportunities as well as patient evaluations and assistance with patient fittings, custom molded seating shape capture and deliveries as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Complete assemblies and deliveries of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) equipment.
Ensure precise fittings and necessary modifications are made to meet individual client needs.
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by consistently meeting functional goals and desired outcomes.
Address client concerns and troubleshoot issues related to CRT equipment.
Provide support to the ATP in implementing seating and mobility solutions.
Collaborate closely with the ATP to ensure seamless communication and coordination services.
Conduct assessments to determine specific seating and mobility requirements for clients.
Implement modifications and adjustments to existing equipment as needed for optimal performance.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all equipment assemblies, fittings, modifications, and assessments.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
Provide training to clients and caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of CRT equipment.
Assist in educating clients about available assistive technology options and their benefits.
Uphold quality standards in the assembly, delivery, and modification processes.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Perform warehouse duties including inventory counts, cleaning and organization as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two years' experience in mechanical and/or repair of mechanical or electronic devices.
Must be familiar with both hand and shop tools.
Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.
Working knowledge of equipment, seating systems, and support modes a plus.
Competencies:
Demonstrates superior customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences.
Possesses excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and referrals.
Displays the ability to navigate computers and smart devices effortlessly, ensuring a seamless integration of technology in daily tasks.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to move about the branch, and use equipment described above and below.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times.
Ability to push and pull heavy equipment (up to 350 pounds) with the use of lifting straps and moving carts/dollies.
Repetitive motions with hands, arms, legs, neck, etc.
Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
Hearing, seeing, and talking are required for this position.
May require travel.
