We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role in Cooperstown, NY at a skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining daily living skills, implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning and safe transitions of care. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active NY State COTA license or compact-eligible licensure required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred.
- Proficiency with documentation systems and performing ADL training, transfers, and therapeutic activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel COTA experience preferred.
- Experience with restorative nursing programs and fall prevention protocols preferred.
- Experience with wheelchair seating and adaptive equipment recommendations preferred.
