Travel opportunity for a Physical Therapist in Annandale, VA at an outpatient clinic. Provide evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and modify care according to patient needs and physician direction. Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities. Serve as an educator for patients, families, students and coworkers. Complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, goal writing, functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry. Maintain compliance with professional standards, state practice acts, and organizational policies. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and professional development activities. Demonstrate and uphold patient and employee safety practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Virginia Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Ability to complete timely medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and use of safe patient handling techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising students or supporting clinical education programs.
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience.
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and participation in quality initiatives.
