Make a meaningful difference for elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive contract role for the upcoming school year. This position offers a full-time schedule and hands-on opportunities to work directly with an engaged student caseload. You'll enjoy collaborating with fellow professionals, planning your own schedule, and delivering both therapy and evaluations across two local schools.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a current SLP license in Kansas.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered.
- Experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is highly valued.
- Comfortable managing a caseload of around 65 students.
- Demonstrated skill in conducting both therapy sessions and comprehensive evaluations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students.
- Conduct assessments to determine students needs and track progress.
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with educators, faculty, and families to support student goals.
- Split time between two schools and enjoy autonomy in planning your own schedule.
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and best practices.
