Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to connect with students, staff, and families from a variety of backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide input for goal development, and update progress
- Offer consultation and resources for teachers and caregivers regarding communication strategies
- Support students across grades with direct and consultative speech-language services
