Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and current certification
  • Active state licensure to practice as a COTA
  • Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to follow therapy protocols
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, educators, and families
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, both individually and in groups
  • Implement activities that support students development of fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Document student progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist in creating and modifying adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and actively contribute to student goal planning
  • Support inclusive and positive classroom environments through creative interventions
